Role Objectives & Challenges
The client sought a Director of Fulfillment to oversee operations across four fulfillment centers nationwide. This was a newly created and redesigned position to accommodate the company's rapid growth. The company was in the process of relocating two fulfillment centers while upgrading technology and operational processes. They needed a leader with experience implementing technology and automation in a comparable fulfillment environment, considering SKU counts and facility footprint. Additionally, strong change management and leadership skills were essential to guide the company toward a more competitive future in the market.
Our Approach to Solve the Search
Rather than focusing strictly on industry experience, the search prioritized candidates with multi-site operations expertise and experience handling high SKU counts. The ideal candidate needed a background in transitioning manual environments to automated systems and implementing a new Warehouse Management System (WMS).
