Role Objectives & Challenges
The company was managing close to half a million SKUs faced an urgent need for an ecommerce professional to lead their transition into the digital marketplace. Their primary objective was to find a candidate with extensive experience in digital transformation who could develop and implement a comprehensive digital strategy. While familiarity with the industry and market was advantageous, the primary requirement was the ability to define and execute a strategy to drive solid organic growth and improve sales team productivity. Additionally, the ideal candidate needed strong leadership skills and the ability to understand the mindset of their target audience to craft effective marketing and sales strategies.

This individual previously worked for one of the client’s main competitors and brought expertise in digital transformation, team leadership, and managing operations of a similar scope. The candidate possessed all the necessary skills to drive online sales and marketing efforts into the 21st century, fulfilling the client's digital transformation objectives. To ensure flexibility, we presented two highly qualified candidates, providing the client with a strong contingency in case their first choice was unable to transition into the role.
